Laser Coating on Behalf of the Environment

Particulate matter as a man-made evil can lead to numerous health risks and arises as primary emitter directly at the source of origin. Especially traffic is the predominant cause of fine dust in conurbations. Particulate matter does not only escape from (diesel) engines, but is also generated by tire and brake abrasion (Source: German Environment Agency).

To minimize the environmentally harmful impact, SITEC offers efficient production solutions using laser cladding. These are capable of reliably producing a wide variety of brake disc types from prototype to series production and in individual quantities. The coated brake discs make an active contribution to reducing particulate emissions and corrosion tendency after this process.

In addition, the laser cladding process is suitable for various coating operations, e.g. as a substitute for chemical chromium plating or the production of wear- and oxidation-resistant surfaces.
